Enrollment & RegistrationOnline registration for returning students for the 23-24 school year is open. Guardians will use their current Family Access logins to access the 2023-2024 Registration link.

*Students new to the district or who did not complete the 2022-2023 school year must complete the New Student Enrollment process.

**Families who are unsure of their Family Access login information should contact their child’s campus registrar.

Open enrollment is now closed for the 23-24 school year. (Open enrollment students must complete an application form with the superintendent’s office.)


 

Returning Students
Completed the 2022-2023 school year in a Vidor ISD school

Vidor ISD uses an online registration system through the student management system Skyward, to update information on students returning to our schools each year.

Parents and guardians of students who completed the 2022-2023 school year in a Vidor ISD school will log into their Family Access Account and select Student Registration. Each step must be completed and saved before registration can be submitted.

Please make sure your child's immunization records have been updated in the nurse's office. Incoming 7th grade students may complete the online registration process but must provide proof of immunization to VJHS before enrollment.

New Students
Did not complete the 2022-2023 school year in a Vidor ISD school

If you are enrolling your child in a Vidor ISD school for the first time or your child was not enrolled in a VISD school  the last day of the 2022-2023 school year, you will need to complete the New Student enrollment application.

VISD Student Enrollment Information details

  • Copy of birth certificate (Birth Certificate Requirement Form)
  • Social Security Card
  • Immunization records
  • Proof of residency (current utility bill - water, gas or electric; a new home contract or lease)
  • Last report card/unofficial transcript
  • Driver's license of enrolling parent

Foreign Exchange students interested in applying for the VISD FE Program must meet the requirements and submit the application form as outlined in the following document:

Application forms and all required documentation must be received in the Curriculum and Instruction Department’s email address (kwaters@vidorisd.org ) beginning March 22 at 9:00 am central standard time and received no later than July 15th prior to the academic year for which acceptance is being requested. This includes an official transcript of the student that has been translated into English. Applications received prior to 9:00am central standard time on March 22 will not be accepted.


 

2023-2024 Kindergarten Students

To attend kindergarten, students must be five years old by September 1.

Please register your kindergarten child for the 2023-2024 school year following the guidelines of the Returning Student section if your child was enrolled in a VISD school on the last day of the 2022-2023 school year.

If your child was not enrolled in a VISD school on the last day of the 2022-2023 school year, follow the guidelines in the New Student section.

2023-2024 Pre-Kindergarten Students

Vidor ISD offers a full day Pre-Kindergarten program for qualifying students at each elementary campus. Busing is provided from the student's home elementary school.

The following eligibility criteria must be met as well as the documentation in order to enroll in the Pre-K program.

Student must be 4 years of age on or before September 1 and must meet one qualifying criteria in order to register.

  • Unable to speak or comprehend the English language. (An oral language proficiency test will be administered during enrollment/registration so please bring your student to determine eligibility.)
  • Qualify for a free/reduced lunch program. (Parent must bring W-2, 2 months of check stubs, or foodstamp card.)
  • Be a member of an active military family or be a member of an active military family whose parent was injured or killed during active military service. (Documentation required)
  • Has ever been in the foster care system. (Letter from Department of Family and Protective Services is required.)
